Duration: 1-2 years

Start date: February 1, 2021, negotiable

Salary: 45,000 $CAD to 55,000 $CAD (based upon experience) plus Plan C Health Benefits

The Department of Chemistry in the Faculty of Science at the University of Calgary is accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Scholar in OLED materials, device fabrication, testing, and large-area roll coating.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be expected to optimize small area OLEDs and establish protocols for large area film and module fabrication using slot-die/flexographic/spray coating. The candidate will be required to work within a team environment, thus excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse group of interdisciplinary researchers is required.

Qualifications:

  • PhD* in chemistry, physics or materials science with an emphasis on organic electronics and/or LEDs.
  • Ability to design/synthesize light emitting materials, characterize organic materials, and/or fabricate and test OLED devices.
  • Experience with roll-coating techniques is desired.
